San Diego Ultra Running Friends (SURF)
SURF is the mission-driven, nonprofit organization committed to serving the needs of the San Diego trail and ultra running community in our hometown of San Diego. SURF is dedicated to fostering positive growth in the community through education, athlete engagement, local race support, and trail maintenance.
It is SURF’s goal to provide members with happy, healthy opportunities to run, race, volunteer, and socialize. They work to create an inclusive environment to cultivate friendships, provide encouragement, and celebrate every runner. Members are encouraged to maintain local running and hiking trails for public benefit to foster environmental awareness in parks and national forest.
Outdoor Industry Association (OIA)
OIA was founded in 1989 by a group of 14 visionary outdoor industry pioneers who created the association to be a unified, collaborative, pre-competitive voice to help guide the industry. Today, OIA is the voice of the outdoor recreation industry, both locally and in Washington D.C., serving more than 1200 manufacturers, retailers, distributors, suppliers, sales representatives, nonprofits and outdoorists.
OIA collaborates with members and key stakeholder groups to move the needle in their key focus areas of outdoor recreation and trade policy, sustainable business innovation and outdoor participation while providing meaningful benefits to help businesses thrive.
Camber Outdoors
Founded in 1996, Camber is a nonprofit organization that equips Partner organizations across the $887 Billion Outdoor Recreation Economy to implement best practices in Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Workplace DEI).
Camber’s 200+ Partners range from nonprofit organizations and leading industry associations to small businesses and Fortune 100 corporations who all share a commitment to taking action and implementing organizational change that creates inclusive cultures, equitable systems and ultimately attracts and retains a diversity of talent to their workplaces.
Running Industry Association (RIA)
Founded in 2006, the Running Industry Association (RIA) is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of driving the running industry forward. The RIA supports the brick and mortar running retail channel throughout the United States and Canada.
Their members are independently owned stores, the brands that sell within the channel, and the companies that provide services and support to the channel. The RIA helps members maintain healthy, profitable businesses through financial benefits, innovative commerce tools, advocacy, strategic partnerships, and peer support.
San Diego Track Club (SDTC)
The San Diego Track Club (SDTC) is a registered 501(c)(3) whose mission is to support the development of distance running, track and field, and related sports in and around San Diego County. With experienced coaches, dedicated mentors and low-cost races, SDTC helps runners of all levels meet their goals in a fun and supportive environment.
SDTC is the oldest and largest running club in San Diego and welcomes all levels of runners. Throughout the year SDTC hosts road races, track meets, cross country races, and social events. The club supports individual athletes, teams, and local high school, college and non-profit running programs.
California Outdoor Recreation (CORP)
The California Outdoor Recreation Partnership (CORP) is a membership organization of businesses and advocates in California's growing and vibrant active outdoor recreation industry. It represents the interests of California-based member organizations and programs, focusing on policy direction and funding in support of the active outdoor industry.
CORP's mission is to power a voice for the outdoor recreation industry to shape policy, support investments, and engage an inclusive community of outdoor participants in California around the benefits of outdoor recreation. CORP is dedicated to ensuring lawmakers and land managers recognize and promote the economic, educational, environmental, and public health benefits that the outdoor recreation economy brings to California.
